College and Graduation Pressure

fade in.

We hear  it every day. We see it every hour. We know it every minute. We feel it every second. Graduating and attending colleges. Everyday we all are reminded by at least one person as a high school senior that college is the next step to success. Our couselors tell us how we need to prepare applications and how high we need to score on entrance exams. Teachers help us prepare acedemically by using study methods to help build to the knowledge that we have. The one thing that those people dont understand is how much pressure that what they do to try and help us just makes it even harder. Which college is best for you? What do u want to do with the rest of your life? College... occupations... career centers... this is what makes us break down. Give us time to think. Don't throw it all out at us at once. That just makes it worse.

fade out.

This is another topic in Amelia's mind. Thanks for reading invisible possy.

This is coming at me so fast. A little at a time would be nice. But it seems that all of a sudden we're just expected to be able to catch the wave.

I know exactly what you mean. The first thing that comes to mind is senior projects, at least in Washington State they're required to graduate and my school adds all this stuff that "you have to do for college apps anyways" but it's still *so much* work and even MORE deadlines that all it really accomplishes is adding more stress to our already overpacked lives. -_-
