I dont think it's race...I think it's a social class thing....

I don't think the reason people say derogatory or racial comments can actually be summed up to as a racial issue. I think it bothers certain people lets say caucasians for example to see an african american or hispanic or asian person prospering far more than they are. I think they feel that its unfair that society has cast such a big shadow on them. It also doesn't help matters much when our lovely president refers to the middle class as family who bring in a net income of a 100,000 dollars or more. But what can I say, that's a fanatical republican for you. It is in fact true that most people tend to do things out of want or need of them more than just for the thrill. Mothers shop lifting at a grocery store to feed her children.....I just can't understand how our economy has gotten "so much better" when our unemployment rates are at their highest since the depression of 29. So I in fact believe that when people make racial or derogatory comments they are doing it more out of self-pity than anything else.
