You know, people in this country are supposed to be able to freely worship and follow whatever religion they want. So why is it that when I walk into school wearing a pentagram necklace, and an ankh, that people tell me I'm a demon worshiper, and that I am going to burn in hell? How is this religious freedom? Most people won't even believe me when I tell them that I don't believe in hell, or the devil, and it's so frustrating! Some people even ask me if I perform animal sacrifice! I can't believe how ignorant people are to this day! In some areas, I can't show what religion I am. I can't just say that I'm pagan. It amazes me just how stupid and backward some people are. Also, that people get all of their information from movies and TV shows? It's insane! I want to be able to go anywhere I want in this country, and not be afraid that I'm going to be jumped because I don't believe in God and Jesus Christ. I mean, come on, it isn't fair that people try to impose their religions on other people. It doesn't matter that your religion says that you're saving their souls, shouldn't it be up to them to decide? It is their soul, after all.

I definitely sympathize with you. I've been called quite a few names, had Christians refuse to sit near me because I might "taint" them, and I've been told to shut up (by a fellow student) when I made a comment to a teacher about how not everyone believes in a god, and I'd appreciate it if she didn't make that assumption (she made a comment about abortion being wrong because "god says so" - something that I found unacceptable because she was a health teacher, and we were in the Sex Ed. unit).
I'm the resident atheist, and that bothers my "moral" Christian friends, who believe it's their duty to save my soul. Meanwhile, they're out drinking&driving, doing hard drugs, blacking out and waking up alone and half-naked, if they're lucky... And they're bragging about it! Me? I'm a computer nerd. I sit here, on this chair, every day of the week. I have friends who I hang out with (neighbors), and we race around on our little off-road vehicles. No drugs, we've drank once around each other, and definitely not when we're messing around on our off-roaders. They're boys and I'm a girl, but there's never been any sex in our little group (we're practically siblings!)... And, because I don't go to church ever, I'm the corrupting influence.
