No Such Thing as a Perfect Temperature

April 16, 2007 issue - Judging from the media in recent months, the debate over global warming is now over. There has been a net warming of the earth over the last century and a half, and our greenhouse gas emissions are contributing at some level. Both of these statements are almost certainly true. What of it? Recently many people have said that the earth is facing a crisis requiring urgent action. This statement has nothing to do with science. There is no compelling evidence that the warming trend we've seen will amount to anything close to catastrophe. What most commentators—and many scientists—seem to miss is that the only thing we can say with certainly about climate is that it changes. The earth is always warming or cooling by as much as a few tenths of a degree a year; periods of constant average temperatures are rare. Looking back on the earth's climate history, it's apparent that there's no such thing as an optimal temperature—a climate at which everything is just right.

I do remember, as a little kid, being told that it was too late... that acid rain was going to destroy everything.... but here we are.  Then it was all about global cooling......  we were going to freeze to death.... and now here we are... global warming.

After this last weekend, where most of the country was VASTLY cooler than average, and where it even snowed in Oklahoma, do we really need to still hear about this Global Warming myth?

Be Real, we really just don't know enough about the REAL history of the Earth to tell one another what is GOING to happen...

Ok, the whole thing about global warming is that the GLOBE is getting warmer. You can't take one country and say that it disproves global warming.

That being said, I really don't think we've been measuring the temperature long enough to tell how much the temperature actually is rising. And the earth does go through cyclic periods of warming and cooling.

However, we do have a growing hole in the ozone (over Antarctica and parts of South America), and that IS caused by our chemicals. We've eliminated the chemicals responsible, and hopefully the problem will reverse itself within the next 10 years or so (I think the exact year they told us was also the year the Mayan calendar was going to end).

Global Warming : It is to late for Global Warming .this is the thing of the pass .Governments will not admit that it has everything to do with shifting of the earths Poles. Why because they see that the earth is turning so slow that the people do not need to know .because there is nothing that the Government can do about it. Why panic the people .people will go crazy for nothing and that there would de so much unrest. so why cause a problem. Please do not judge these words just look and lesson to the news and you will here of so many things going wrong today that it is not funny. I live way up in the north Canada North west territories .and the Lord has let me know that there shell come a time very soon that there will be no more winters .we are in November 23 I think, and we have no yet receive our cold weather like we use to .we have not even had - 20 yet and this is not normal. we should have been in - 20 over a month ago. And please note this, we had our winter here end two week earlier this year then normal .so you tell me that the Earth is not shifting . The Lord also let me know that the Earth began its slow turning in 1996. Amen

Remember that Mars, in no way affected by the Earth's Poles or by car emissions, has also been getting warmer, its polar caps 'melting'

4 summers or so now of it.

Maybe... just maybe.... any ACTUAL weather changes aren't man made?
