I don't think any teacher knows how much homework they actually give in one night or the amount of homework that seven teachers give you in one night. High school is just not worth the amount of time that has to be alotted to do homework OUTSIDE of school. As much as they say high school is nothing like college, it sure doesn't feel like it, not that I would know what college is like but if its nothing like high school...I hope it is better.
I work hard for my grades, the ones that I get. The teachers love me, I guess that is called the "teachers pet". And most people in my classes find me fun and entertaining while some just find me annoying, and yet I don't care. I am a cheerleader, so many people don't like me, and most of the school does, or at least thats what it seems like. So of course, having a cheerleader in the upper level classes that are not for typical Juniors, makes people kind of sketchy, and of course could make me the ditzy, smart, weird cheerleader/tennis player, which in its self is two coincidences since tennis players are supposed to be the smart ones, and cheerleaders are supposed to be the dumb ones. So which one am i?
Well, I work hard for grades and waste time on the internet doing these kinds of things...after all...is homework really worth it with everything else I have to do?

I get what you mean. Right now I should be finishing my homework, but instead I am commenting on your blog! lol-- Teachers give WAY too much homework. I have heard from my 3 older cousins who are in and have graduated from college that college is a lot easier than high school. I CAN'T WAIT FOR COLLEGE-- I wrote a few blogs about homework too-- come check them out =)
Although not in highschool in my first year of college I am taking online classes. I am on this computer when I am not working almost all day foing school work. Home work does suck but they will always give it.
Hmm, well, I am taking two college classes right now, and way they are harder than the highschool classes, with much more homework, the thing is: when you get to college, you only have FIVE classes a semester to worry about. In highschool, you usually have at least seven or eight.
Stormy
In my experience, high school kids complain that they have "WAY TO MUCH HOMEWORK" when they have about 2 or 3 hours a night's worth. Usually that 2 or 3 hours worth can be finished in one... but that's beside the point.
When you get to college, you will have five hours of homework for every one hour of class.
At least that's the "general rule" for semester-based universities and colleges.
I'd take the BS high school essays about what I want to be when I grow up and the chemistry packets any day.

I really feel you,in high school I used to wish and pray that I get done and go to college to avoid all the hectic homework that the teachers used to give, not until I went to college and the math professor gave us a bunch of homework the second day and I still had other three classes that I also had homework too.But after thinking for a while, I understood why the teachers do that, people are totally different, someone in the same class really appreciated the bunch of homework that we used to do,she claimed that, it was the only way for her to understand well what was taught unlike me who really needed one or two and felt that it was a waste of my time, hey, but the good thing is, that you'll not be there forever one day you will have no worries of homework to do.
