We all know the main reason is for the scholarships, I don’t care how much you say it is not but it is. But what does this scholarship mean to you? In some schools a thousand dollars is a full tuition, others it barely even takes a chunk out of the cost for tuition.
So I am curious though. If you do win what college are you going to and what field you are planning on going into? I’m going to Ivy Tech State College for mechanical drafting. Spring semester is my last semester and I would be grateful to know that I am financially finished with college.

dodedo..since nobody else has said anything. and you already know mine..ima tell you anywayyyy

I need this $1000 more than youuuuu do. If I don't get it..something tells me I won't be going to school this semester.
I'm currently attending Morrisville State College for Equine Science, hoping to maybe get into training when I graduate. This year, I went completely on my own, but I don't know if I can do that next semester, so I'm looking for other ways to help pay for school.
I am attending Concord University, Athens WV. I will graduate in December of 2007 and plan to attend Graduate School. I will hold a BA in History and plan to get a MA in History as well. I want to work for the Park Service for a while and ultimately become a college professor. Right now I live entirely on my own and only have 50 bucks to get me through the new year. I've put in several job applications but have not heard from anyone. With a full load of college credits, I can't work a normal 9-5 job. I know I might be working at Winterplace Ski Resort, so that will help. So right now 1,000 looks like a million to me :)

You really want to know?
I am in college now for my B.A. in Social Services Management, which I plan to use to receive my Masters' in Education. Specifically, I want to teach high school or University level history, mainly because I want the level of critical thinking that comes with those age levels.
I have a degree in Electronic Media as of now, with which I've worked for ten years in radio and television stations. But that got boring and I was tired of being called biased just because some idiot got his own "news" show and reported nothing more than opinions. Totally ruined it for the rest of us.
I do have some help paying for college; I have had a lot of success writing essays and research papers for scholarships and whatnot (to date, I have won close to $35,000 in scholarships and grants through these writing contests), I have been awarded the Pell Grant several times, and because my husband is a disabled veteran, I am received tuition assistance from the VA. However, this still does not cover my entire cost, and I have just about a year and a half left before I gain my Masters' (although I have an interview next week to be a substitute teacher - which will offer me more tuition assistance since I am already in college for that field - keep your fingers crossed). Besides the help I've gotten, I have roughly $27,000 in student loans accumulated.
