Opinions are like -------- we all have one.....

Ok so I have noticed that there are some that just can’t take the fact that someone else has an opinion that is not like the one they have. Well people; that is just how life works. If we all had the same views on everything we would not be individuals, we would be robots. I don’t think that some people understand that just because they think one way doesn’t mean everyone should think the same. That is not how society works, otherwise it would be perfect and there wouldn’t be all the problems we have today.

Politics causes controversy, in my opinion, and causes others to act in ways they may not normally act. I think election time is one of the most stressful times because too many people are trying to force their views on others and when you don’t share the same view you are chastised. I for one believe in the saying that "everyone is entitled their opinion". We all are going to form our own beliefs from what we learn in school, at home, the media or even in church (for those who are religious). Of course another opinion of mine is that religion and politics don’t mix.

The thing is I think that others put way too much time into trying to make people understand and take on their views that they lose sight of what their views really are. At times I hear others talk about politics and it gets so mind numbing. Your opinions are yours, it’s ok to express them but it’s not ok to force them on someone else. Or even to belittle, bad mouth, or chastise someone and alienate them because they don’t believe in the same things you do. Get over yourself for once and put yourself in their shoes. Would you want them to do it to you? More often then not most would say no.

So my point of this post is to let you know and anyone else that it is ok to have an opinion just don’t try to make it mine too. I am a big girl and I can form my own opinions and make my own decisions in what I believe in. I don’t need anyone’s help, and neither do you.
