To cheer or not to cheer...? That is my question.

Well.. This is my first blog on here.  Currently I am debating on whether or not I would like to continue cheering in college.  It will be my second year of school at UC (starting Sept. 19th) and I am trying to weigh out the postives and negatives of participating in cheerleading.  I love cheering the games and having that family feeling bond between my teamates and I, but it honestly does take up a lot of time.  Let me give you a tase of one week of my schedule:
Classes everyday (16 credit hours), work at the student bookstore approx. 6 hours a day, and cheerleading M,W,Thurs from 6-10/10:30.  Then Games on Saturday and practice for 5 hours every other Sunday.  Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining... It's just a lot to handle, and takes some pretty hardcore time management skills to get through one week at time.  As a cheerleader at UC, there are about 15 $600 scholarships given each year between the coed and all girl team.  Compared to say Fball or Bball -- with many full rides given to student athletes.  So the debate on my mind is:  Is cheering worth not being able to work a full time job----> WAY MORE COLLEGE DEBT when im finished with 4 years!?

NOT worth it.
in my opinion. Probably because I have never really liked cheerleading, but if it means a lot to you and its something you really enjoy doing, DO IT!
