Did you know that generally woman buy more Valentines on Valentine's day than men? I find that to be quite interesting. Does that mean that men are selfish and only buy for their lovers and their mothers? OR Does that mean that women are buying vagariously , because they see cute little trinkets, and knick knacks that are impossible to resist. OR is it both? I thought that spending expences were generally the same in both genders,(guess i've been proven wrong) because you buy for your family, your lover, and your friends. Then their are those who only buy for their lover but even then i thought that the man would be spending aobut the same because a woman is going to buy smaller gifts for her family and friends, and the man generally buys something expensive, so doesn't it even out to be the same?
Also, i feel sorry for those on Valentines day who don't have anyone, because they're constanly reminded of it all day. A little something to think about. Reading about all these suicides, and homicides, I'd be particuarlly nice today to someone who's normally reserved and simingly disturbed (just in case). Then again, you should probly always take time out to say a few kind words to these people, maybe we wouldn't have as many of these death incidents. Which, leads me to thinking, and American, as a people , we really are selfish and reserved. I do this little experiment all the time in the mall just wave, smile , and say hello to someone random and you get the oddest looks. You can see what their think from the expressions on thier faces." Who is that? Why's she waving at me?" "Is there something wrong with that kid?" IT's sad to say that society is so caught up in themselves and their own worlds that's it's become normality to be distant and unconcerned with each other.

I smile and say hi to people all the time. I don't get weird looks...
