My favorite show is NBC's The Office, and my mother's favorite is ER which also appeasrs on NBC. We usually just TiVo these shows and watch them at our own leisure. However, this year we planned to buy the seasons of each show on iTunes, because with school, and so many other activities, the time to watch these episodes in the living room is not in abundance. Sure enough though, greedy NBC, did not renew their contract with Apple. (Now this news is about 2 weeks old so don't flame me, i'm just mad.) The reason for no contract renewal? Aparently Apple would not raise the price of NBC's shows. (I heard from a source they wanted $8 a show!) So how can I get these shows digitaly? at the moment you can't. NBC says they will have their versions available, BUT GUESS WHAT! you are renting them. Yup, 30 days and that show you paid for goes bye bye. Insanity. And the RIAA, and the MPAA wonder why piracy is at its all time high! I am outraged as a consumer and as a fan that such measures can, and have, been taken against us.
