Nature

Sometimes, I feel that people really do not appreciate nature. When I feel stressed, I go outside. I look at the birds, bees, ants, flowers, trees, grass, squirrels, and the sky. They are all so peaceful. So many people do not take the time to enjoy nature. Instead, people play their playstation 3, X-box, iPod, and etc. Others are on the computer, surfing the internet; while others are watching television. I understand that there are so many things to do, but nature should never get pushed to the side. Nature is part of the simplicity of life that often gets taken for granted. Try sitting outside for five minutes and look at what nature has to offer. There is no doubt in my mind that you will find serendity. Take the time out each do for an introspection with nature. Nature is a beautiful and enjoyable place.

So true. Like you, when I'm stressed or just simply need a boost, I hightail it out doors. Nothing does it for me quite like Nature... or the Moon.

I've gone on some of the Geology field trips my school offers, and they're great: a chance to get out of town and look at nature up close. The best and most recent was a weekend trip down to Lava Beds National Monument in northern California, where we got to explore volcanically formed caves, one of which was 6900 feet deep(!). Nature rocks, so to speak, though it is quite merciless.

When I get down or stressed I might go outside too. On the way back from class today, I stopped for a minute to sit by the river that runs through our campus. It was so pretty, the water was a bit dirty, lol, but still green grass and evrything. :)

Sometimes I wish people would spend less time outside because they wouldn't litter as much. It's difficult to seek peace in nature when someone has overrun it with soda bottles and chip bags. I'm fine with nature, we agree most of the time, but I really think that ignoring it is slightly better than destroying it.

:) Aw, it's just like the transcendentalist ideas in literature we touched on in English III. Nature is SUPPOSED to make you feel great and wonderful. I'm so glad it calms you down! It SHOULD be a get-away for peace of mind. :)
