Silence is NOT Golden

“SHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” You may hear that in a movie theater whenever your phone goes off, or you’re talking and people want you to be quite, but whenever you are not at the theaters, don’t let your voice not be heard. The best thing a person can do is let their voice be heard; otherwise nothing will ever get done. Movie theaters express that silence is golden, however in the real world; voices are how we change things. If you don’t like the war in Iraq, don’t stay quite, speak up, and shout to the world, THIS IS NOT RIGHT. Let your voice be heard and things will start to shape. This may sound like one of the other blogs I have posted, but this one I have written based on a comment someone wrote to me about people not believing they can make a difference. The truth is that it only takes one person to make a difference. As he stated, people don’t vote in elections because they believe that their vote will make a difference, but it really does; only one person can make a difference. Letting your voice be heard is the best way. Ignore the movie theaters sign about Silence is Golden, but only when NOT in the theaters. LET YOU VOICE BE HEARD!

People shouldn't hesitate to express their opinion if they so choose, although there is nothing wrong with keeping an opinion to oneself. This is completely different from just making noise, which I think should be avoided.

I have to agree. doing nothing is...well...nothing. Talking out and taking a stand is essential if anything is ever going to change. Well said.

i agree. many of the problems in society are the cause of people not speaking up. there will be more controversy but it might actually benefit society as a whole
