So, here's the deal. My sister and I wrote this song last March but we never did get to naming it. If we think your name cuts it we might use it on our next album (yeah! We're making a C.D.!!!). You just can't sue us or anything for the rights to the name later, ok? Great, here's the lyrics:
(Key: Dm = Dark! 0.o)
:^( the Song Fairy (erm....my mom) said I had to take the lyrics down. *sigh* She's afraid someone will take them. Oh well. Look for the song on our new album coming out this Fall and perhaps on youtube...or if you're coming to the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas we'll be performing it on the Acoustic Kids Showcase stage for about 300 people.

How is this progressive?
oooooo...how is it not?
jk jk
how is complaining about your love life progressive either, cause people do it. I was just curious, and I really couldn't think of anything to name it. ^.^
I always love this arguement. People kill too. I thought maybe the soong might have a progressive view about getting out of broken hurtful relationships or something. I did not read the whole thing I just came to see what the son of disaster said...that one is a funny one.

Yeah, well I have a problem with all pointless blogs on here, including this one.
Hmm... in my mind there doesn't seem to be anything MORE pointless than writing to someone and TELLING them their blog is pointless. Great job wasting your own time.
Love the song, the lyrics are great
:) I have to think for a little while on a title, I have no idea right now lol You should definately put a video on youtube or something so I can hear how your song goes...
"Which is more foolish, the child afraid of the dark, or the man afraid of the light?"
-Plato
But your song's lyrics and metaphors are a bit trite, and you could get rid of the passive voice completely.

"A cactus is the opposite of a chair. In my house you can sit anywhere but there."
Thanks for everyone's input, even the negative stuff. I value everyone's opinion, even if I don't agree with it. (erm....is that progressive enough? *sweatdrop*). It was only our third time with writing/composing.
A large part of the song is also in how we sing it and the melody and how it makes the listener feel. But lots of people might not like it still...lol...it's a bluegrass song.
And for anyone who feels the need to further bash our songmaking abilities (*cry*, jk, jk) let's see you write one that fits with the fiddle, and guitar, and rhythm, and flow, AND makes reasonable sense. It's quite hard, if I say so myself.

I think this is progressive in a way. I'm a singer song writer too, although not a professional one. I like your music. About the lyrics, you can always get a copyright. That way, you'll have the legal ownership to the lyrics. If you see anyone taking it...sue them! Maybe we can play together sometimes. lol Good Luck
