I'm a high school senior in the buckle of the texan bible belt. I'm pro-choice, anti-war, anti-death penalty, bisexual, agnostic, full of voice, ingenius, and vivacious. I've only been in my AP Govt class for six weeks and my teacher already knows where I stand and how firmly I stand. I watch the news out of my peripherals and come in for snippets. The media twists events, even if it doesn't mean to. The president makes my skin crawl a bit, but I give him his due, he's still managing to function. I may be female, but I will not vote for Hillary. I may be black, but I'm for blind admissions/interviews as opposed to affirmative action. I love anime and reading and there's no greater insult to the free world than to burn or ban books.
Where was this going?
Oh, yeah. I have something to say. I have more than something to say. If I had enough time to say what all I have to say on all the issues that bombard me, I'd have to talk to people's grandchildren. But that's besides the point.
I have something to say. Everyone has something to say. We all need to be heard, who will talk when we can't?

Its good to have positions that you firmly stand on and voice those position. To often people stay silent in the shadows.
I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say... Keep blogging, and we'll keep reading.
: )
I like you. I really do. lol. You have something to say, then say it! We'll be reading. And yes, thank god someone from high school knows how tricky and bias the media is. My classmates probably don't even take that into consideration. They just...watch...absorb...and watch some more. No other brain activity going on there. Good for you!
