Don't say farewell

Progressive U Team's picture

The end of the Spring 2007 Blogging for Progress Scholarship competition was yesterday. We know that the chance for a scholarship is a major incentive, but we hope that you have enjoyed the experience enough that you will keep coming back.

It normally takes up to two weeks for us to review point totals and posts of potential winners, contact winners, and receive confirmation of their acceptance. We plan to be finished with that process by July 15 at the latest, and we will post an announcement at that time (or earlier, if we finish the process early).

We say this every semester, but it is certainly true this semester: you are an extraordinary group, and you are destined for great things. You have already made an impact on the world, and we hope that the experience has helped you learn and grow. Please continue to blog, read, and comment whenever you can, and look for announcements soon on other ways you can get involved and help improve the ProgressiveU community.

Thank You to all of you here at Pro U. It has been an incredible journey. I have definately learned a lot and met an enormous amount of interesting people (and a FEW not so interesting people). I also think all of you on the Pro U team did a great job. Unfornately for me, I fell off the scene as soon as summer hit (plus I just moved as well), however, I am planning to stay here and continue blogging.

Again, Thanks!!!!

I'm not saying goodbye to Pro U forever, just goodbye to nearly-every-day-often-several-times-a-day, mostly because my roommates are beginning to worry for the health of my overly-strained eyes and the fact that they haven't seen me without a computer in hand for quite some time now.

It's certainly been fun and rewarding. Even a professor of mine got into it, once he noticed me reading comments after class. He writes his own blog, a self-proclaimed "technoprogressive" blog, that some of you might be interested in: http://amormundi.blogspot.com/.

Anyway. Back to the work grind. Happy blogging!

I'm not saying goodbye to ProU. . .This competition has been like one of no other. While the activity was slightly lower in this competition there were some great blogs and ideas. . .I'm taking a break for college but will return early fall.
