Whats the fus over myspace

Tagged:  •

I have been noticing alot of media publications about Myspace lately. The media has a feild day with this very popular website. I don't understand it what is it that people find so bad about?..Yes, I understand that there are some crazy people in this world and No you can't trust everyone you meet online but there are the good things about it. Take me for example I have a had myspace for about three years now and I absoultly love it. I mean it is a wonderful way for me to keep up with friends that maybe I don't see at school or have moved. I am the Upward Bound program and I have wonderful friends there that I don't get to see as often as I'd like and myspace is our way of keeping up with each other and whats going on in each others lives. I don't see why people always want to put it down. It can be bad if you make it bad. Parents should watch what there childern do online, but if the child is 14 and up parents need to let go a bit. If we parents would talk to kids about o online safety instead of being over baring then maybe kids wouldn't be as curious. You just got to be safe. But like I said before there are the "nuts" in the world but if you are careful and don't fall for everything people tell you, you will be ok. You may be getting confused about what I am saying here. I am not saying just talking to your kids about saftey on line will prevent the crazy people from trying to talk to your kids just don't spy on them if you set the guide lines and rules and lay it down ..then maybe your kids will respect that and if they don't then I am sure you as parents will take the proper punishment needed.
So again I say what is the fus over myspace? If used correctly nothing..kids now days have found another way of comunicating. And parents this is it..so try to losen up a little.

Editing a blog entry is a great way to improve it. Type it in a word processing program and you won't have to worry about troublesome typos like 'fus' and 'losen'. Also, separating a blog post into separated--and spaced out--paragraphs can also do wonders for your readers.

As to the actual content of your blog post: I don't think the fuss is simply over MySpace as a site, it's over the parents and children who are misinformed about it. If kids give out personal info, stalkers can find them. If they're smart about it, they won't have a problem.

There's a funny video on YouTube about an obsessed 12 year old on MySpace. The child is just freaky over his obsession....just thought I'd mention this random tidbit.

There is nothing with myspace, just the dumb people who engage in risky behavior on myspace.
