What are you're opinon's?
Do you think that this is actually possible to achieve?
Or is it just an idea sparked into an interesting article for entertainment and controversy's sake?
I think it's an interesting article and very educational!
It would be great to save all that money and to save lots of lives!
It would be great if no one was fat! :)
It's crazy how much people being overweight effects not only the person but everyone else in the in the world! I didn't realize that it had that much of a big affect on life.
Personally I don't think it's possible, but it's a goal that everyone should try to achieve. I'm saying have a healthy body image... Nothing else!!
What do you do to maintain a healthy body image?
I don't eat fast food anymore, instead I make my lunch and dinner the night before so that I'm prepared for my busy day ahead... Work then school almost right afterwards. I lost 20lbs cutting out fast food alone!!!! I also drink more water and try not to drink too much soda. Instead of taking the elevator I take the stairs! I keep away from too much sweets (this helps cause I can have less cavities).

Somebody will always be fatter. Even if nobody was "fat". I think it would be awful, I can't believe it could be in anyway good.
Après la pluie le beau temps. ♥
Let's see if this works... don't click on it...
I remember reading somewhere that if people weren't fat, they'd actually spend more on health care then they would if they were.... The idea was that fat people tend to get all these diseases (esp heart disease) and die young, whereas a non-fat person would have more degenerative diseases and would live longer, costing more in the long run.
Unfortunately, I can't find the article now.

I live in Japan, where few people are fat. There are some people who are overweight, but I very rarely see someone who is obese. Overall, the percent of overweight people in Japan is 22.6% (ranking #163 on fattest country list) compared to 74.1% in America (ranking #9). My stats are from forbes.com.
The occurrence of obesity-related problems are rare in this country. However, there is still McDonalds and other fast food. There is still plenty of need for healthcare, and there is no extra money flying around.
The article is an interesting one, but I'm skeptical about how much money we'd really save if America wasn't fat. Don't get me wrong, though. I think we should give it a try for the health and good of our people.
