Finding the right path

So after 4.5 years going to college and working hard, I graduated with a bachelor of fine art. Funny thing is, it took me until my senior year to get a grip on what I really wanted to do in life... and it wasn't art. So, after graduating I took a break from school and decided to give conservation biology a try. I joined The Student Conservation Association, and got an internship working in Arches National Park doing raptor surveys. It was an amazing experience and life changing. It also gave me an education grant that allowed me to go back to school for a semester, which leads me to where I am right now. I'm a post-bac as they call it, and am studying Biology, and focusing my energies toward eventually going to graduate school. It's a strange place to be, at this point in my life. At 24 years old, I'm only now starting to understand where I belong in this great big world. The classes I'm taking are tough, the job I'm going to have this summer is going to be physically and mentally intense. But I'm happy, I know what I want, and I know that the Earth's creatures can use my help... combined, it tells me that I'm headed in the right direction. And I intend to blog on here as I make my way through this journey.
