I am so sick of hearing from other countries that we interfere too much in the world. Look we are the most prosperous and greatest country in the world and it is so stupid that people think we shouldn't interfere. Now I'm not say ing that we need to interfere with every country or their processes. Popular soveriegnty should be respected. But when their commiting genocides or threatening our allies, or even us i think we have a humanitarian obligation to extend our help. When people say that america needs to back off or mind its own buisness this pisses me off. Especially the people who say its the vixtims that don't want us there. I CAN"T BELIEVE THESE ASSHOLES! Right in front of them theres some ten year-old from Sierra-Leone ,missing her left eye an walking on a nub. And this asshole says that they don't want us there. I don't know why everyones on America's ass its all Europe's fault. If they hadn't imperialised the poorest countries then dropped them on a whim this turmoil and unrest wouldn't of happend. Who the hell leaves the uneducated extremists to take care of themselves. So I don't think that the E.U. has a right to say anything. Especially France i recall them kissing our feet when we bailed their ASS out in WW2. Also when we had to clean up their mess in Vietnam. now all of the sudden they think they're better than us. I think its crap! What's your opinion?

We really wouldn't be separate from the UK if France hadn't helped us out in the Revolutionary War. As far as the "greatest country" in the world, I don't quite believe it is. Truly there is no "greatest" country in the world, there are those that fair better than others, but a good portion of it is luck. We were lucky enough not to be surrounded by warring countries like some nations around the world and we are lucky enough to have a good climate as well as plentiful resources. Nobody ever asked the US to be World Police.
Your blog seems to be mostly written out of anger and I think it would be much easier to read and much more coherent if you calmed down and simply spoke your mind without calling people "Assholes."

Alright maybe your right about the "assholes" thing as going a step too far. But what can i say I got alittle in the moment there. And as far as the "greatest country in the world" i understand we're not. I believe that there is no inherent right or wrong, good or bad, just perpectives on others cultures. I was merely trying to appeal to the sense of patriotism that should resonate wthin all Americans. Sorry if I came off as being arrogant. Oh and by the way we were asked to police by the U.N. during VIetnam and Korea. But other than those examples most of the time they were security issuses, with underlying humanitarian benifits to the locals. And frankly the way U.N. left the african refugees to rot and die at the hands of the goverment was absolutly disgusting. It was only after 900,000 innocents died that the world court finally put that bastard Gen. Besamungo (I think thats how you spell it) brought him up on charges. But that didn't stop the U.N. from sending a coalition force to save the europeans and leave everyone else to die. I know I speak harsh and I'm probaly leaving out a few facts, but i just can't agree that theres any good reason for doing such a terrible thing. And thats why I got alittle angry.
You do have valid points Absolutely the UN made a mistake and it was wrong that 900,000 people died, that isn't right, if we could help people without expecting something out of it( like oil) I would respect America a whole lot more.
Ah, it's ok we all get pissed sometimes and my posts are from from saint-like. And honestly it's good to be angry about injustice- if nobody got angry nothing would get done!

Unfortunately that's not the kind of interferance that pisses everybody off and only represents a percentage of the kind other countries object to. For instance, the whole Iran/Contras debacle.
"I don't know why everyones on America's ass its all Europe's fault. If they hadn't imperialised the poorest countries then dropped them on a whim this turmoil and unrest wouldn't of happend. Who the hell leaves the uneducated extremists to take care of themselves."
Wow. I'm gobsmacked by this one. Spoken like a true imperialist.
"So I don't think that the E.U. has a right to say anything. Especially France i recall them kissing our feet when we bailed their ASS out in WW2."
The EU is made up of many countries, all of whom have differing levels of righteousness when it comes to criticizing US foreign policy. The US also dropped atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people during WWII, unlike France.
"Also when we had to clean up their mess in Vietnam."
If memory serves me, the US didn't actually clean up shit in Vietnam. The Viet Cong ran shit on that one. If anything the US made a bigger mess than was necessary.
"now all of the sudden they think they're better than us. I think its crap!"
"Look we are the most prosperous and greatest country in the world"
Look, it's like this, in most countries all over the world there are people, who just like you, believe that their country is the greatest in the world for all manner of personal reasons. These people tend to walk around thinking and declaring they are the best, and thus thinking that they are better than everybody else. You get people who think they're the best in Europe and you get them in the US. You by your own words identify yourself as one of these people. You're not the best any more than they are and that really doesn't matter. Even if the US was officailly the best, it still doesn't change the fact that it's done some pretty shitty things to other countries, actually if the US was officially the best country in the world it would provide even less justification for it's less savoury activities, because being best, the Us should surely know better.

Well I'm not going to lie I spoke very passionately about this and in the heat of it all I believe I may have generalized my point a bit to much. For instance about the genocides, I was only talking abotu the countries that do. Same thing when I was talking about the E.U. I just thought it would be quite tedious to go down and list every single country I was talking about. As for the Imperialism I never heard a contradiction so I assume you've read your history and know of the effects on the imperialised countries after they became sovereign. Also as far as the atom bomb goes. If you knew anything about japanese culture at the time than you know that every single person in japan would die taking us out or commite suicide before we occupied them. The only reason they yielded was because of the a-bomb. That plus the casaulty rate on the battles of the pacific theater, there probaly would have been a couple million more casaulties on both sides instead of that 100,000 or so. So the a-bomb in fact saved many lives. Trust me I have studied this issue quite maticulously. And finally I know that America is not the greatest country in the world. If you read my otehr reply than you'll know that I believe that there's no inherent good or evil, great or terrible. I just said that to try to appeal to the reader's sense of patriotism. Sorry if I showing pirde in my country offends you so. I went off on a bit of a tangent with the a-bomb thing so if I missed anything please tell me.
Thank you.
