Look out Apple! I*pods were cutting technology a few years ago but, now theres a new kid on the block. Meet the Zune. You can share music with your friends! How cool is that? I'm not sure how this complies with copyright laws but as a teenager I don't care. It is pretty exciting. Some will argue about size - this seems to be a big debate with teenage girls... Seriously how small do you want it? The Zune will fit in a purse or boy's pockets. It works out well and the screen on the Zune is considerably larger.... With that said what do you want? An I*pod from apple (which may I add it trying to take over the world) or a new and trendy zune?
I*pods are old news

i don't know if you've read any of the consumer or professional reviews for the zune, but overall it's supposed to be pretty subpar, and microsoft definitely dropped the ball in terms of making a product that can legitimately compete with the iPod (for the record, i have a Philips brand music player that i'm quite content with, so no accusing me of being an iPod lover =P)...and from what i've heard, from multiple sources, the music sharing feature either works poorly or not at all.
also, the zune's been around for quite a while...why mention it now? (just curious!)

Yea, the Zune has been around for a long time. I know a few people with them and I still prefer my Ipod to those.

It's Worth Reading
How can the i-pod be outdated already? I still have a walkman....heck, I don't even have a handheld cd player yet. I must be ancient! lol

this past summer was because my uncle, who has money to spare (correct spelling?) gave me 100 dollars as present and
he also bought me a laptop (May he get all the money he spent on me, back 10 times more because he did not have to but he did out love and because he has the money)
i only bought one because there are some people in college who do not stop bothering you even if you tell them nicely to leave you alone
and i had told the one specific person who was constantly on my case, very nicely, but she did not get the message, so with and ipod, she basically left me alone whenever i had my headphones...
but i have always been a hater of apple's ipod and i am giving it to my sister because she wants and needs it (sadly, that is to fit in with the crowd at her suburban hs and to follow the status quo) and I am going to get a creative zen mp3 player, just the basic music playing device (i had a cd player for 7 years until i bought an ipod this year)

Zens are great, I've been a zen user for 2 or 3 years, and love them. Ive got a black 30GB Zen Vision M that does everything I need it to, and just looks plain old cool. I convinced a friend to go for the player actually, and hes happy with it as well. Its well worth the investment.

It complies with copy right laws by only allowing a user to play a shared song 3 times before the song automatically deletes itself from the user's Zune. It's actually rather annoying. I've played with a Zune, but I still love my 20GB iPod. It's black and white, doesn't play movies, can't share photos, You can't talk to someone on it, and it's 3rd Generation. It's pretty amazing.
In the end, I think it should come down to durability and memory. I drop my iPod on a daily basis.

Mention the Zune because my friend got one and I had never used one before now but everyone really likes them that I have encountered (and thats A LOT of people)- Don't believe everything you read.
believe me, i don't, i was simply relating to you what i HAD read, not saying that i firmly agreed with it 100%....
and actually at a certain point you really have to stop being cynical and start being smart. maybe people think you secretly work for microsoft and are promoting the zune in a non-commercial setting, with that attitude.

But at this point, everyone has an ipod and we're not all going to run out and buy some new technology. Especially poor college students. And, all of us with iPods already have all our music on itunes. I'm not trading in my ipod anytime soon.
I cant believe you guessed it! yes I do work for microsoft and this is most definatly a marketing campagine for the zune with all the publicity my blog is getting its an awsome way to promote it..... Im sure so many people will go out any buy one now.
Actually its just my opinion expressed with words which I choose to convey my feelings.
