What Does Barbie Have That I Don't?

Most little girls play with Barbie Dolls when they are young. It is an ideal toy for children in our society, but has anyone ever studied the effects they have on our children's minds? I mean, our society demands perfection and they see the perfect female body as that portrayed by Barbie Dolls. In reality, if Barbie was actually real, she would not even be able to stand. Her body proportions defy medical reason. Society pressures girls and women to become Barbie, though, and this leads to what I refer to as Barbie Syndrome. Some women only ever dream of having a Barbie body, but some women will stop at nothing to obtain it. In my opinion Barbie Syndrome leads to Anorexia and Bulimia, because these women are so desperate to be accepted by a society who claims no one will like you if you are not a certain way. Yet, by doing this they fail to realize it will destroy their lives.
My advice to all you women out there is this: screw society. Society is made up of a whole bunch of egotistical, fantasizing males who try to push women into boxes, so that they can maintain their ideal balance of power. Therefore, be who you are and appreciate the body you have been given. If you want to be slim, then exercise and eat healthy. Just don't starve yourself, because it's not worth it.

I tend to disagree. I think the family and society cause that. Not a toy.
