Greetings and salutations bloggers.
I am from the northern most point in the state of Kentucky. I face
downtown Cincinnati, oh. It is a strange locale, to be in Kentucky but
next to a major metro area. I am 5 blocks from the Ohio river, and 5
blocks and a river from downtown Cincinnati.![]()

Life here is good. I have just over a year left in my accounting
degree and my boyfriend owns his own organic gardening store in Covington (our
city). Garden Grove Organics is the name.

I am a vegan, organic gardener. I love to cook, which is the only way
you can survive being a vegan. I am not the normal accounting
student. I want to do tax in the field, but I want to help small businesses,
specifically musicians and artists. I have a passion for creative folks
who want to make it on their own, but not get totally screwed by not
understanding what they are liable for.
I am with out a doubt for a better future. I really believe that
having small business become successful is the only way our country is going to
truly grow and obtain fair wages for all. The mega corps of this country
are eating away at our collective spirits, mean while we all drudge to the
super Wal-Mart to buy our miracle grow (which is not really cool for plants
that you are going to consume) to save "money", while they collect
ridiculous profits, and diminish our wages.
In order for our country to recover and resume growth for poor and Middle Americans,
we have to invest (spend our extra dollars) at the small retailers and restaurants.
Did you know kfc/tacobell is the same corp. and they are owned by pepsi, who
owns prisons? What are we really paying for when we order a dairy fat
filled chalupa? Makes my head spin a little to think about the mega corps
out there that have it in for us. I'm not one for crazy conspiracy theory
stuff, but by golly (gotta love ky stereotypes) does that mean when you're
incarcerated you get fried chicken?
Seriously though, I’m not claiming to know it all, just a few
observations from a girl who thinks. I do actually read a good deal, try
economist.com or their mag. It makes some of this political garbage seem
irrelevant when you can look at figures/numbers. They don't lie!
Comments, questions, jests? All in good fun kids. Just things that
rattle in my brain.
