There is a lot of controversy in the world today. People are against gays and lesbians. I myself will admit, I am not against gay and lesbian marriage. There is a separation between church and state. People have reasons against gay and lesbian marriage “because it goes against what’s in the bible”. It upsets me when things of the bible are placed into politics. In the bible it also says that thou shall not eat shellfish. I guess I sin a lot then. One sin is not better than another. If you are going to pick and choose what to take from the bible, than are we going to have people hung up on crosses when they have committed a crime?

I'm not against gay people marrying each other. What they do is none of my business. Still, I must point out that saying the Bible also says that thou shall not eat shellfish is totally out of context.

what do you mean it is "totally out of context" was I was stating that if they are going to pick and choose what gets applied to politics from what is stated in the bible, what are they going to try to make a law for next? I mean there are a lot of things in the bible that they could choose. That is why I brought the part up about not being able to eat shellfish. That is in the bible, but do people make a big deal about that? No...In the bible though it states it is a sin...and like it says in what I stated..one sin is no better then the next sin... <3 Lindsey

At any rate, this explains "out of context." As far as your question goes, that was enough.
