Ok so here it goes my first blog on this thing....well on Wednesday we had a blood drive at my high school I helped to plan it so ofcourse I was excited and when people asked me, "Are you giving blood," I said yes. I don't think many people know that when you donate blood you give up 1 pint and that one pint saves three lives. You have about 10 to 12 pints of blood in your body so giving up just one to save three people is the easiest way to save lives. I was really happy and willing to donate so when it finally came to my turn I donated it felt so great to know that because of me someone was going to live. So i return to my friends with a smile on my face and then all of a sudden I begin to get very sleepy....next thing I know i'm on the floor with people around me and worried faces. I ask, "what happened?" apparently I fell and passed out because I did not sit down and let my body rest ( thats very important i know that now) I hit my head against a nearby table and got a minor scratch and if i knew what would happen to me I would still do it all over again because nothing beats the satisfaction that giving blood gives you. I hope some of you will get encouraged to donate blood because one day you might need blood and will need someone to donate for you.

well...well my dear friend it seems as if you really have something here and that something is compassion and sympathy for people. Saving lives for ppl is awsome and I think I speak for everybody when I say your coolio!
I donate, too. I get light headed and dizzy afterwards, and if I don't relax I pass out as well. It helps me to put an ice pack behind my neck while donating and drinking plenty of water during and after the process.
One pint of blood can save up to three lives. It isn't always three. Some people need more than one pint.
