Dear Heavenly Father,
Your promises are always true and I thank you for it. You promise never to leave us or forsake us; You promise that if we cast our burdens on You, You will take them willingly because you care for us; You promise that if we delight ourselves in you, You will give us the desires of our heart. You promise that you will never give us more than we can handle, and you promise to feed us when we are hungry.
I pray that I would also be faithful to seek your promises and trust them as absolute truth. I pray that I would truly know in my heart that you will never leave me alone in the darkness or entrust me with more burnens than I can carry. I pray that I woud entrust all my cares to you because I understand that you can certainly carry them as you care for us. I pray that I would find the strength to surrender all my desires to you and delight myself in your will so that my desires become the ones that you have for me. I pray that I would trust that you will not leave me to starve, but that you will fill me with the bread of your word.
Your promises are always true. Yes, the promises of love and faithfulness, but also the promises of righteousness and justice. You promise that when we turn from you and heed not your laws, there will be punishment. You promise to reign down your judgement on those who do not follow your laws and instead engage in idol worship. I thank you for your justice though God because it keeps us safe. You did not put laws on our hearts to bring us harm and punishment but instead to show your love in a righteous way. You desire for us to serve you and love you with everything that we have. You want to shower us with that love and protection, and your justice is just one of the ways that can be done.
So, I thank you for all your promises that remain true always and forevermore: the one of love, faithfulness, and justice. Amen.
