Abortion is a big topic to discuss. A lot of people are all for it and others are totally against it. I would lsay I'm in the gray area. I think that the person who got pregnant sould be able to make the decision for them self. Maybe somebody just isnt in a good place in their life. Personally if I got pregnant right now I would most likely get an abortion. Theres no way me a 17 year old can handle a baby. I do know some teens who have kids and are actually pretty good at being parents. I'm good friends with this girl Sam and she got pregnant last year when she was 16. She use to be a druggie and partier but that baby(Cutler) changed her life for the better. She hasnt done drugs since she was pregnant and I'm sure she hasnt drinken either. And now her and the father who is 19 are engaged. I know this other girl Stephanie who is um 4 months pregnant right now. She's 16 and at first her and her boyfriend really wanted the kid but know they both are really scared and really freak out about having a kid to take care of. Neither of them really want it anymore. It's to late to have an abortion but she really wishes she could. I hear her say nearly everyday that she will get stressed out enough or fall down and kill the baby. It's so sad! Please kids if you're gonna have sex use protection!!!!!!! Or at least take responsibility for your actions
Abortion

It's crazy how many people are getting pregnant with all of the available forms of contraception. I only believe in abortion in cases of rape, other than that, I think that people should take responsibility for their actions by either raising their child, or giving that child a chance to live by giving it up for adoption. Abortion is murder, and murder is serious. That's just my personal opinion. But my main point is that people should be more responsible, especially when they know the consequences! Pregnancy is not a surprise, everyone knows it has the potential to result in pregnancy, so people just need to take more caution in regards to their sex lives.
protection doesn't always work, nice to think it does but my baby is proof of that .01% of it not working that exists in protection usage. I have friends that are doing amazing things in their lives and their babies. I'm a senior in high school and have to completely rearrange everything I've ever thought was going to happen in my life and while I thought about an abortion when I could have, I know I couldn't live with a decision that to my personal conscience is selfish because it's time to grow up and like you said, take responsibility for my actions.
Abortion. A hot topic....that everyone discusses. For future reference try this: if you wish to do an overdone topic, put a fresh spin on it. This entry would've been a ton better if you'd elaborated on the true story of your friend and really delved into it. Now that would've been a 4-5 star entry.
Keep blogging! It's a learning process that we all go through.
The only upside of abortions is that crime went down when they became legal. So you democrats who say it's taking guns away that does it should go smoke on something better, lol.
Why doesn't she just put the kid up for adoption? That would be a big no-brainer...at least to me.
I know I've been wanting to tell her to but it up for adoption but I just dont have the heart to say it to her plus I think once she sees it she wont be able to give it away even though she really doenst want it.
Oh and that other person thanks for the blog tips. Will do next time.
How do you not have the heart? The worst thing that will happen is she'll get mad, but she'll get over it. What do you mean once she sees that she won't be able to give it away?
I meant she's the kind of person who once she sees her kid for the first time she wont be able to give it up. I'm not like her best friend and I hardly ever talk to her at school so I think she would be offended if I tried to give her advice.
I agree!! I believe in Pro-Choice. I actually heard a statistic that Abortion rates have dropped since previous years because more young people are becoming more educated and mindful about birth control.
