Global warming... it's an important issue.
Go to www.climatecrisis.net to find out ways to help reduce global warming and carbon emissions. I think this is an important thing to do as 1) human beings who have to live on this Earth and who might have children who will have to live on this Earth who will have children...etc 2) as Christians taking care of something that God has given us to take care of. Why are we hurting the Earth that God created? Isn't that kind of a slap in the face of God? He created all the beautiful things we see, yet we take it for granted all the time. We, as humans and (if you're a Christian) Christians need to consider changing habits and things to help reduce carbon emissions and other things that hurt the environment. The website I mentioned should have some ways to help. Write a letter to a Senator or Representative. They can get things done. Here are some other ways...
- Instead of using regular light bulbs, use compact fluorescent light bulbs. Saves 150 lbs of carbon dioxide a year
- Drive less (I know this is difficult here in the USA without much public transit)
- Recycle
- Keep tires properly inflated
- Use less hot water
- Avoid products with a lot of packaging/reduce trash
- Don't have the AC on too low or the heat on too high
- Plant trees, flowers, shrubs... green stuff
Also, if interested in this issue, read The End of Oil. It talks about global warming as well as alternative sources of energy and the oil issue. It is a very good book.
This is my political passion right now. What can I do about it, though? How can I be effective in changing things? I am one person. Any suggestions?

enviromental issues have taken a back seat in recent years, but unless the causes are dealt with and we all take steps to change our habits future generations will have to suffer the consequences.
