What does one think of when they hear the term "irony?" Certainly not the story of studying for your classes so hard, but not resulting in the grade you wanted. Not the story of all the best friends you've had for years suddenly turning on one of them that does intend or serve harm to one another.
I apologize for using this as a sort of venting session, but I needed it. And maybe to warn you all of the dangers of irony taking over any harmless soul's life.
For the school portion of my irony experience:
I received my progress report today. A-Italian.A- Honors Humanities2.C-AP Music Theory.A-Photo2.D-AP Language and composition.C-Honors pre-calc. I was not too upset about the C in music theory only because we had one test and one participation grade. We will be getting much more work to balance it out, which should be a breeze. The C in pre-calc is not too bad, only because I will work even harder to get it up. It's a 78%, so close enough where I can pull the B by report cards. The D in english, that is my main problem. I pay attention very hard, study, do the homework, and still cannot get a decent grade. I'd be happy with a C, as sad as that sounds. It really does upset me. That is the irony of my schooling.
For the friends: I have been friends with the same girls since 5/6th grade roughly. All of a sudden I think I have all of them in check, thinking we're all going to make it perfectly through senior year together. Guess again. One of the truely nicest ones, the one i've been closest with through these years is being picked on. Behind her back, to make it even better. She does nothing to hurt these people at all. I do not understand it. Her mom is in on it now, which makes it worse. I can't hang out with all of them together now. It really hurts for this to happen. I do not understand why we all just can't get along and be friends.
Isn't it ironic? Good does not always process more good, but inreturn, periodically, comes bad.

Talking about grades. How progressive.... :-/
Try a different kind of topic if you want points towards the scholarship. Simply talking about grades doesn't really do you any good.
Thank youuu. :] I was just using it to vent a little. As for the scholarship better topics will be discussed. Thank you for your constructive criticism!
If you ask for help, it will come. I'm not saying you need a tutor for 3 hours a day or anything drastic. Just a few simple ideas. Asking for frequent progress reports can show you where you stand and remind you if you may happen to be slacking off a little. Ask for help on your pre-calc, I'm sure the teacher would be willing to spend an extra 10 minutes with you until you understand. (I'm in Pre-Calc, too!). Ask your peers to edit your English papers and essays, and make sure you proofread. That's an extremely easy fix without a lot of time, and counts for many points.
As for your friends, I'm not too much help. But if you commicate with them I bet they might take it easy on your other friend.
Hope this helps :)
Thank you so much for your response! It did help! I'm going to try the peer editing style, now. The frequent progress reports sounds like a great idea, as well! Thank youuuu :]
I've gotta say, grad school is a lot easier than high school, as there are fewer classes, and they are all in a topic you've CHOSEN to study. It is more intense, but more focused. You'll get there someday. The other nice part is that people are generally more grown up about things and you don't have the backstabbing issues.
One bit of advice, though. You'll do a lot better in English if you have an understanding of irony. While all those things you discussed are indeed unfortunate, they are not actually ironic. (Alanis Morissette was the worst thing that ever happened to the concept of irony. None of the things in her song "Isn't it Ironic" is actually ironic, either).
