Sometimes I look on the recent blog list and I look at the great topics. I wish I would of thought of it first. Then I look back up at the recent blog list and someone else writes about the same thing. It is kinda how the media works. Except here I think it is more offensive. People take a lot of time to write there blogs then here come this other guy that wants to write about your topic and not give you any credit.
The media runs in the same circles. Its like round and round we go in a big circle of thought. The concept is exactly the same. Many people complain about the fact the news covers so many of the same stories that they leave other important things. It is true here to if we spend time piggy backing other peoples blog then hey we are limiting ourselves in a little little box. It lacks creativity and it is just plain wrong.
I support original thought and prose. Sometime I think I had an original thought then when my post is up I see the similar post list then I think damn bleep maybe I am not a genius. It is the principal that is important I did not do it on purpose. I did it because great minds do think alike. We do not piggyback.Write your news media tell them to be different we dont want to here the same smack all over again. Same bleep different toilet.

People still are going to piggyback?

There is a difference between piggybacking and inspiration. As long as people are writing in their own words, doing their own research, and not plagiarizing, I see nothing wrong with different topics being written about more than once.
In my opinion, the only time a problem arises is when people keep writing the exact same perspective, in almost the same words, in what seems like 5,000 posts... then I get really tired of reading it.
Good point. That shows original thought though I guess I was addressing the fact some people do not even do that much.

I do agree with you that it's way more fun and interesting when everybody comes up with their own subjects.
To be honest, I've seen a lot of posts about about Darfur, the Jena 6, racism, immigration , religious scripture, depression, rape, and autism. Not that I don't think these are valid and interesting topics, but I feel they have been pretty much exhausted (unless someone has a new take on them they are willing to share).
Inspiration is a great thing!!!!
