Under normal circumstances, one would believe Hillary would be my ideal candidate. I beg to differ I'm afraid.
While I am all for a woman in the white house, Hillary is not that woman. She is far too left to be able to be able to govern effectivly. Just because i'm a democrat doesn't mean I'm for radical change. If the legislature remains to be democratically partisan, and if Hillary is elected to be president, I think change will be inflicted that will prevent another woman from EVER entering into the white house again. She is really TOO radically progressive for the current political atmosphere, and she will be at war with the supreme court and their juducial revirew.
So many people will hope to vote for Hillary with the hopes of getting Bill's economic policies again. The truth is the next election will be too close to the war for there to be any enduring or effective change. What I fear the most is Hillary's policy on the war, and I'm afraid if she immediately withdraws troops, there will be a civil war in faction split Iraq.
I hope to god Hillary does not get nominated for the Democratic ticket, I certainly won't vote for John McCain, but I wont hold my vote either.

I won't be voting for Hillary either. In fact, my first vote in a U.S. Election will be against her. I have the same feeling that she should not be the first woman president, and I'm afraid for pretty much the exact same reasons you are. I do not want her as our nation's leader, not to mention one of the most powerful world leaders. We are already the laughing stock of the world for bush, though I think we could make some good progress with her as president, I think she would end up making moves that will hurt the U.S. even more in the world view.

You should look at the post White Water. And you are totally right about the civil war on immidiate pullout. If we did that the 4 million shites would kil the 2 million sunies and the streets would run red with blood. Then the kurds in the North would just site there and be like WTF! This is accually the best millitary stratagy to win the war in Iraq, it would never be implimented as such because it's just not humane. But we might as well give up trying to bring pease to the middle east, they've been killing eachother for 3000.
