When is it that Philosophy looses it's luster of being able to improve society or an individual? I love to listen to philosophies & ideas about life & the principles that govern it. But when can such talk be pointless or down right harmful?
Where is the line in philosophy?

I don't think that talking and questioning principles can never become pointless or harmful; it can only lead to new ideas and the advancement of our culture and society.
It is ultimately pointless in that it's not very productive, but I wouldn't say harmful.
