The Death of Artist

The Death of Artist

Nguyen Dinh Dang.

I agree with Dang when he portrays artist.  We are so focused

on money now that creativity has lost a lot of its meaning.  Granted

there are still artists out there and I am sure some great ones

but society seems to value art and creativity less now.

This painting really struck me as interesting and I wanted to

share it with others.  It seems like this painting may portray

our genreation. Showing that we are much more interested in

math, science, and making money than in the past.  This is

shown by the fact that business is the number one major in the US.

The painting is below.

society is killing art.
i once read in a philosophy of art book, that art is now dead, that are can no longer be created because we have killed the imagination part of the people....its very sad. money is just a piece of paper. value should be placed in homes, in love, in life!

I like the painting. It reminds me of Dali, in a way.

"Showing that we are much more interested in math, science, and making money than in the past. This is shown by the fact that business is the number one major in the US."

I don't see how it shows that we're more interested in math or science, or how the fact that business is the number one major backs that up.
