There has been many problems about teachers having intercourse with students. I have noticed this has been occuring more and more as we watch it on the news. To me it seems that the more advanced the world gets, the more mature we get with time. Just on the news today I was watching, a female teacher was let go with a charge of $225. If this were a case where a male teacher had intercourse with a student, he would have jail-time. No question about it. Just on Dr. Phil today, a 23 (almost 24) year-old woman was on there and she claimed to be in love with 15 (almost 16)year old boy. She had never had a relationship with a male before, and this was new to her. I don't care who you are. I just think that is it quite stupid that anybody would have a relationship with some body who is 11 years younger than you. ESPECIALLY if you are a teacher. Students look up to teachers. They listen to teachers. If we have teachers that are going to be having intercourse with students, and then later state 'stay a virgin until your married', what kind of world are we creating. They teach us sex education for a reason. So that we are aware of such things like this.
I think that anybody who goes to school would have that common sense of 'this is your teacher, don't have sex with them'. Just beacuse somebody is attracked to a student or a teacher, does not mean that you can act on it. Also, teachers know that it is against the law to have any personal relations with students, so why do they have them? I believe that the teachers either take advantage of the students, or they are mentally ill. What I think needs to be done, is the states needs to do more of an extensive search and interview of this person that wants to be a teacher. In conclusion, I believe that students and teachers having sex in one STUPID idea. Who cares who it was, or what sex it was, it is still a crime, and all should be punished the same.
I know that this blog may seen disorganized, which it is, but this is the first one. Believe me, there will be more. I am trying to take some of the most current events, and putting my oppinion on the matter.

Just one note--
the 26 year old woman on dr phil today--she wasn't with a 15 year old student the way you make it sound.
She was 23 (almost 24) and he was 15 (almost 16)--it wasn't 26 and 15 years old as you put.
Simple mistake.

I agree teacher and student relationships are wrong. It is against the law and is immoral. There are plenty of fish in the sea. You can be attracted to anyone besides one of your students who is usually way too young.
