The sneaker game has been mad crazy lately. nowadays its just too hard to get shoes that you want, and not because of the hype. i buy shoes that i like. and not because they are expensive or because they are limited or because everyone has them. i remember when it was easy to get the latest jordans or nikes. i would walk into the store and walk out with a new pair of kicks. but now its not even like that. for example, grapes came out a couple of weekends ago. these were a pair of jordans that ive been waiting to get. but all this hype about these shoes got people going crazy. the release was on a saturday. but then i find out that people are camped outside of nike town since wednesday. thats a  little too extreme. i also heard that at serramonte mall footaction had to push back the release date because people were pretty much rioting over these jordans. my friend in LA got into a fight because someone tried cutting him in line while waiting for the store to open. annnddd another story i heard was about a guy in new york who got his shoes jacked by someone who held a gun to his head. now...all this shit just for a pair of shoes??? that shits crrazy. so its already hard enough to get a pair of shoes that you like. but on top of that you have resellers. these are guys who are always first in line. and they buy as much pairs as they can so they can resell to the public. these guys are all in it for the money. from a retail value of 100-130, these guys would resell these kicks for a damn near 300-400. they make mad money. and whats sad is that people still buyin from them. im broke. and i dont have money like that to spend. its just crazy how much people are willing to spend on shoes and the things they go through to obtain em. this hype is just too much. it ruins my love for sneakers.

HOney the whole business is in it for the money, wether it is the legit or illegit sellers. I mean how much do you think these companies are paying people to make these shoes. Half of these companies are abroad, and abusing people at below minimum wages.
