Use it to find the voting record of your Senators or Representatives. Or search by issue (i.e. healthcare.) Progressive Punch also assigns a progressive rank to Senator or Representative, according to their overall record.
For example, here is the voting record for my senator, Maria Cantwell, on the Iraq War. The page shows that Cantwell voted for the initial preemtive attack on Iraq in October 2006. Since then, she's cast several progressive votes on the handling of the war. (I know as a constituent, though, that she's not willing to bring the troops home.)
