I have seen people saying that blogs are not very progressive a lot recently. Or even saying that certain bloggers are not progressive. It seems to me that this contradicts its self. Putting people down by useing the word progressive is not progressive in itself. People seem to be so obssesed with being progressive that it is actually making them less progressive.
People blog on this site to let others hear their ideas and get feedback so what ever they have to say is, for them, progressive and nobody has the right to tell them that they are not progressive. You can dissagree with their ideas but to just say that their views are not progressive is wrong. If poeple begin judging others and telling them they are not progressive it will make people much more hesitant to post at all any I don't think anyone wants that kind of environment on this site.

I have noticed a huge jump in the number of complaining blogs are being posted about what is progressive vs. what is not progressive. It happened during the Spring's contest too.
I think we are all (or most) trying hard for that extra bit of money for school, and that gets competition high; if something seems unfair, we want attention brought to it. I don't think that's bad in and of itself, but I do think that some of them would be better suited for the forums or in an email to the moderators at ProgressiveU rather than lost among a sea of blogs and debates.
The people that *could* do something about these complaints are not other readers and posters of blogs and ideas.

I wanted to see what other blogger thought about how the word progressive has been used recently in many blogs.
I'm sorry. I was reading very fast and had my answer already formed in my head, probably hindering me from catching your real point.
I look at it as participation in a team environment. Sometimes even asking a question contributes to the overall achievement of a team's goals. If we users are the team members working for the common goal of spreading ideas, sharing knowledge, and collectively achieving or inspiring change, then each of us has the right to question whether or not someone's motives are true to the "team's goals" In this case, it would be asking for the definition of progressive and determining if every one is following said definition. If that means posting a blog in which they point out what they perceive is unprogressive, or trying to "out" someone for being too critical about what is or isn't progressive; then so be it. In the end, we are all still working to that "goal" collectively.

I've noticed too that it's been used QUITE A BIT in recent blogs. Especially by a few certain bloggers.
Thats what I thought.
I havent noticed maybe because i dont read into negativity. I use this cite to put my ideas out there for the world ot see because people around here dont like to hear them.
Posting one bulletin is progressive to me.
Peace!
it seems to me that this blog is doing exactly what you are complaining about, but maybe that's just me.
I just don't want this site to become a place where people are afraid to say what they think. That is why I posted this.
I don't think so.
I do find it funny though-ANY blog on this site that critisizes the site, there is ALWAYS someone saying "your doing exactly what your saying is wrong"
Yes I have seen that too.
lol-good! I thought perhaps I was the only one that had noticed it..
well-besides my boyfriend.
Haha no it has been pretty obvious in a couple blogs.
Just shut up people!! You guys are ruining the issue and ignoring the question, I thought only George Bush does that , I
guess not.
?
Could you please be a bit more specific?
