My boyfriend of 2 years has become a very active designated driver for a ton of his friends...they've gotten to the point that they expect him to take them home almost every night from the bar (he never drinks, but goes down there occasionally for the local bands). He feels obligated to take them home so that nothing bad happens to them and they get mad if he says he cant.
I understand that he wants to make sure his friends are ok, but it's starting to interfere with our relationship because when he's out til 3, 4, 5, or 6 in the morning taking care of them, and if/when I want to go out for lunch, he's still in bed around noon. I feel like our relationship has started to weaken because he's too concerned with taking care of people other than me.
That may sound selfish, but when it gets to the point that he has to bring me home just so he can pick up a drunk friend of his and make sure he/she is ok, that's when it starts to piss me off.
Especially when it's a "she" that he has to pick up. I trust him, but the fact that there are drunk girls that he's taking care of scares me.
Any advice?
