"The Republic of Iraq is a country in Southwest Asia encompassing most of Mesopotamia as well as the northwestern end of the Zagros mountain range and the eastern part of the Syrian Desert. It shares borders with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to the south, Jordan to the west, Syria to the northwest, Turkey to the north, and Iran to the east. It has a very narrow section of coastline at Umm Qasr on the Persian Gulf. [1] "
So, what is your opinion of
Iraq? Is it beautiful? What are we going to do about
Iraq? Go visit? Oh wait that is not what you mean; you meant the situation in
Iraq and the occupation of coalition forces? Now that is a topic, lets not discuss using the media’s spin terms, let us use words like occupation and invasion, words with slightly more negative connotations.
Are we being imperialist? Should we attempt more of on isolationistic view?
How should we handle the troops in
Iraq; leave them there like they are, add more, ease out, or just leave?
Will some one remind me why we are there in the first place? Nukes, Civil liberty…what?

... "Why I don't support the war in Iraq".
Read it.
To be honest, however, I don't quite understand what you are trying to say with your post.
p.s. At one time, Iraq was a country of extreme beauty that housed many historical landmarks. Most of those ancient relics -- including many from ancient Mesopotamian civilizations -- have since been destroyed.
I am mostly tired of people saying weird things like "What should we do with Iraq?"...hmmm...move it to Egypt and switch its name back.
We are going to have to pay them so much for the "landmarks" we have distroyed...that is so sad..all that history and beauty distroyed to only resemble shards and fragments of what use to be

I am a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War (www.ivaw.org). Here is our charter:
1. Remove all US troops from Iraq.
2. Taking care of those troops when they get home (something that is not being done.)
3. Provide reparations to the Iraqi people.
