Scientists have discovered a chemical known as epicatechin, which is found in chocolate and it benefits the heart. Epicatechin is in the group of chemicals known as flavanols. These chemicals are now known to help in circulation and other areas of cardiovascular health.

It has been proved that there is a direct relationship between the intake of certain flavanols (from cocoa) and the ability for them to absorb into the blood circulation, increasing blood flow through arteries and veins and allowing vascular tissue to relax.

So don’t be afraid to load up this holiday season -- just remember all those calories!

Anything is good for you as long as it's not consumed excessively.

Biochemically, the consumption of large quanitities of chocolate simulate the feeling of being in love. This is a good feeling and a relatively harmless sensation. Not only does chocolate taste good but science has shown that it has many health benefits, especially dark chocolate. So, keep on eating those Hershey Bars, they're good for you.
