This happened just yesterday morning in a church in Baton Rouge, La. Anthony Bell, 25 went to a church that his family was currently attending. There he killed four of his in-laws. He then kidnapped his wife, Erica Bell, and shot her to death. She was found dead in an apartment complex that police say she was killed outside of. Also in the complex where Erica Bell was found were their three children, but they were all safe. The in-laws that Anthony Bell killed were Erica Bell's grandparents, her great-aunt, and one of her cousins. He also shot his wife's mother in the back of the head, and she is currently in serious condition at the hospital.
This is truly a sad story. I actually attend college in Baton Rouge so it is even harder for me to imagine how this could happen. As if the story alone is not horrific enough, the fact that he killed four people in church is something that is so terribly ironic. His relatives were trying to praise God and there they died. How could this man be so horrible? And what about the poor children? Their mom is dead along with four members of her family. Their grandmother is in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. Their dad is crazy and in jail. This just shows the worst end of domestic violence. Sadly, there will be other people that will have to suffer from situations such as this one because it is so hard to get away from a violent husband/boyfriend. Keep this family in mind and pray for the people involved, especially the 3 children, which includes an infant.

That man had serious psychological problems, otherwise he couldn't have done all he did!
those poor people i feel sory for thefmaily
That is so horrible. And I hate to say this, but I would rather die in church. I would rather die with god's name on my lips than anything else.
Very understandable. It's just crazy though. The one place you would consider a sanctuary, the one place where you would think you were safe.
ya I totally know what you are saying when you say its the one place you expect to be safe. It reminds me of that post I wrote about a week ago talking about the priest who killed the nun- the one place we expect that not to happen!
What a horrible man
He is very horrible and deserves nothing less than the maximum sentence. He seems as if he feels no remorse for what he did. He must have some sort of psychological problems like antisocial personality disorder or something for him to be able to live with himself after killing 5 people all at once. Hopefully his lawyers won't try to bring out the insanity defense to lessen his jail time because he deserves to sit in a cell for the rest of his life.
