You're too old to do stuff.

I'm always amazed by the "You're too old to do _____" camp.  I'm 27, I love animation (Japanese and many American series), I love to game (video, computer, D&D).  I love plushies and cute things.

Oh, but I must be too OLD for all this crap!  Watching cartoons at my age?  Gasp.  Shouldn't I, the 27-year old white female, be doing what the 27-year old white female SHOULD be doing?  I should be married, have a few kids by now, makin' my hubby really happy.  Y'know, normal stuff.

All right, maybe that's a little overreacting.

My philosophy is very simple, and I hope everyone can take it to heart.  You only live once.  As long as you know your responsibilities, as long as you take care of yourself and don't hurt anyone .... go hog wild.  Play that game for a few hours.  Watch that ridiculous movie.  Just be happy.

I totally agree! I'm 17 and still went trick-or-treating on Halloween last year. Ohhh, what I got for that...what can I say? Running around in a costume at night and getting free candy is FUN!

Also...cartoons are amazing. Power to you.

Good! Unfortunately I haven't been trick-or-treating in a long time. I would if I could! >.>

Animation is just great. It's a visual entity where there are very few limits. A live action character can only go so far, but in animation you're only limited by how well you can draw.

That - and it's just plain super awesome. Yeah.

Yea, my parents let me know when I'm too old to do something which I think is bull because you're never too old for anything really, parents just have kids so it doesn't look stupid when they order a happy meal for themselves, think about it.
And yes, I did say that. <3 Alexa

Or alternatively, wanna go to that next Disney movie without feeling like they shouldn't be there. ;P

Way back when I went to Germany, my grandma, aunt, mom and I were in a store and I was oogling all the Diddl plushies. (Diddl's a pretty popular mouse character over there.) Granmda whispered, "Isn't she too old for this stuff?"

My mom's response: "At least it's not drugs."

There ya go.
