Why do you get accepted to a college, then get a financial aid package from them? Why don't they just lower the cost of tuition if they are just going to turn around and give you scholarships, grants, and loans? Kids who have GPA's over 4.0 usually only take three or four classes their senior year to maintain their GPA and then get the best scholarships from colleges while those who take more classes and take the hardest classes possible risk their GPA's falling and therefore falling out of the race for the best scholarships. Colleges should more attention to classes taken senior year since many students have their GPA's suffer a bit junior year because of preparing for the ACT, SAT, AP tests, searching for colleges, scholarships, planning their senior year, and still getting their homework done.

I agree with what you're saying that colleges should just lower their tuition costs, instead of just offering a financial aid package because after reading this blog, it doesn't make sense that after you get accepted into a college, they offer you a financial aid package.
