Turning 23 in two weeks made me think of some of the things I want to accomplish before I turn 30. Some are simple while others will take some finagling to accomplish. Luckily, I have a little over seven years to reach these goals...
- become fluent in sign language
- travel to greece
- backpack across europe
- perform in an open mic night
- get my masters degree
- write an editorial article that gets published
- act in a musical
- have a nude portrait painted of myself
- make my own wine
- plant a tree
- make out under a waterfall
- make a public speech somewhere other than one of my classes
- take a road trip across the country
- go to new orleans during mardi gras
- run a half marathon
- run a marathon
- successfully grow a large vegetable garden
- go hang gliding
- drink absinthe
- stay up all night and watch the sun rise
- touch an iceberg
- get married
- kiss in the rain
- teach a child to read
- take a martial arts class
- buy a house
- write a letter to congress
- visit machu picchu
- learn to surf
- take dance lessons
- read every book in a series that has more than ten books in it
- learn to weld
- design my dream house
- hike the appalachian trail
Any goals you want to accomplish in the future?

I wonder if you could hang-glide while teaching a child to read in sign language then land and compete in a marathon to an auditorium where you'll make your public speech? Hey, seven years may sound like a long time but you might want to get a couple items out of the way all at once!
Those are some nice goals. Something like a bucket list, except your bucket is the age 30...
My goals would include being published, having a good job involving videography or cinematography, visiting China or Japan, and being fluent in another language.
I HOPE I NEVER TURN 30, BUT SINCE I KNOW ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME, I WANT TO BE WORRY FREE. I NEVER WANT TO BE STRAPPED FOR CASH AND I WANT TO OWN MY MANAGEMENT FIRM. THATS THE ONLY THING I LOOK FORWARD TO. I HAVE TO OWN MY COMPANY BECAUSE I HAVE FIGURED OUT THAT WORKNG TO MAKE SOMEONE ELSE RICH DOESNT FEEL GOOD IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT.

It is hard for me to imagine a goals list for the age of thirty even though I am 20... It's cool that you have a vision, but that is ALOT for seven years good luck!!!
p.s. rate posts it makes you cooler

Who told us that we ought to be walking in a straight line keeping the peace? The Bible is full of risk-takers, people who took a look around and said HEY this isn't right!
Good idea! Ok, now, I am going to write my list.
Get over my fear of heights
Loose wieght
Go to Africa
Go to Ireland
Go to New Zealand
Go to Greece
Visit every single person blood related to me
Forgive
Go on at least 10 missions trips
Find the perfect church for me
Find the perfect man for me
Get married
Have around four kids
Get a masters degree
Work with tigers
Wow, that's not all but you sure got me thinking about it! Thanks!
Before you're 30???
You want to do ALL that, AND have 4 kids??? Are you CRAZY?!?!?!
Well, good luck to you anyway. You might want to plan to do all that before you're 29, and then have quintuplets.

I can never decide if I feel young or old - I'll be 24 this year, and sometimes I feel like I've done nothing. But I have a similar list:
-MA in Education
-Travel the world via service learning projects
-Bike the Al-Can highway
-Get published in an Education Journal
-Re-learn German
-Ski-jour
-Stop saying stupid things
Etc. etc. etc.
I like your list.

Great list. I had my list and was able to accomplish some of it. But do not get STUCK on your list to the point that you are upset if you do not achieve your goals.
I never dreamed at 31 I would be single and trying to finish school. BUT life has given me many opportunities lately that I may not have been able to do if I was in other situation.
My bucket list is too long to post here. But if I had to choose just one thing, beyond marriage and kids, it would be to visit the places of my heritage. Japan, Ireland and England.
Just realized my comment may be a downer and that is not my intent. Good luck with your list! Someone of them you maybe able to achieve two at once.
