More College Info

I forgot to post with my last blog, if your currently filling out applications to colleges/universities, DO IT ONLINE. It's so much easier and faster! Several of the Universities I went to stressed that online applications get there faster and are just better than paper. There is a website called applyweb.com and that's the website that I've used to fill out the applications for Central and Western. You make a username and password so then you have all your online applications in the same place. It's very helpful. Also you can save it online and come back to it when you have the rest of your info.
Another good website is Collegeboard.com, that's where you can go sign up for the SATs online and figure out when and where they are. I think there's a lot more you can do on there, but so far all I've used it for is the SATs.

Also, lots of the scholarships I've been checking out want to know what College your going to. If you don't have that figured out you shouldn't apply for those. If you give them false information and then win the scholarship, they probably won't take it very well that your now going to a different College! And a few required letters of acceptance from the College you want the scholarship for.

NEWS FLASH-anyone going to WSU, there is a scholarship for incoming students. This is from their webpage;
"University Achievement Awards
You’re guaranteed an award of $1,000 to $3,000, renewable for a second year, if you're an entering freshman and you:
Meet the scholarship GPA and test score criteria.
Apply for freshman admission to the Pullman campus by January 31, 2007.
Generally, if you have a 3.40 GPA, you would need an SAT score of at least 1090 (critical reading and math) or an ACT score of at least 23 to receive an award."

Here's the URL I got that from;
http://www.wsu.edu/future-students/scholarships/scholarships.html

I was looking at it and saw it was pretty sweet! I don't know if I'm going there though, but if I was I would defiantly be applying for that. :) Well happy hunting guys! I hope my few tips helped you all.
