Ok...Now THIS I have to play!
Wii...the latest nintendo game released here in the US is making it's way across Japan, Europe, and the globe.
And it makes you work up a sweat. (Much better than a boring aerobics beat when you can have fun and games and a workout.)
"Wii's advantage is revolutionary motion-sensitive technology that allows gamers to control in-game characters by moving their bodies rather than pressing buttons.
"Wii gets gamers off the couch," Nintendo Australia spokesman Vispi Bhopti says. "Gaming is no longer about just sitting and watching. Expect to work up a sweat."
The experience has proved to be so immersive that Nintendo was last week forced to issue a safety warning after reports of gamers damaging television screens, walls and furniture after becoming overly enthusiastic."
The Nintendo Wii (at $249) is a extremely unique game system. Nintendo is focused on the gaming experience instead of just using high res graphics. For example...if you play tennis, you don't wiggle the mouse or the control stick you actually swing the racket just like the real thing.
Yep! That's a workout allright.
This is a game that's receiving all the raves and will be a big sell out!!!
"Hundreds of enthusiastic Japanese fans stood in lines waiting to buy Nintendo's latest game console Wii on Saturday.
Following a successful launch in the US two weeks ago, Nintendo turned to its home market where it is locked in a battle with rivals Sony and Microsoft. The Wii console will be sold in Europe from December 8.
Sony released its new Playstation 3 in Japanese stores on November 11, while Microsoft last month came out with a cheaper version of its Xbox console. Even with Microsoft's new offer, Nintendo's Wii will be the cheapest of the three major consoles on the market, about half as expensive as the Playstation 3 at a suggested retail price of 25,000 yen (216 dollars)."
I know it sounds like a sales pitch here, but this is the type of game I like.
But I might have to beat past the Hundreds queued up to get one.

How good quality are you getting with the Wii
