Don't Hate the BUSH!!!!

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

This is my rant...  How can we expect other nations to respect our country when Americans can't!  Like when you are with your group of friends and you rant about how much you dislike your sister and you call her a few words that aren't repeatable.  Later when you are again with this same group of friends and you are ragging on your sister your friends start chiming in about your sister calling her those non-repeatable words.  Your friends just crossed the line.  When you called your sister that bad word, you opened it up for your friends to rag on her too!  The same with our country.  When Americans disrespect President Bush and our government, we open it up for others to verbally attack up.  This eventually ends up with tension and allies come into play.  I find it so sad.  We are suppose to be united.  United we are not, divided and separated.  Even though you may not particularly like President Bush or a specific person in our government  we must support them, this does not neccessarily mean that we like what they do.  Still don't understand think of it this way, your parents love you.  They say they love you no matter what.  If you are dating someone your parents don't like they aren't going to stop loving or supporting you.  Okay, thats a wrap.  Comment!  Gracias!

It may seem hypocritical, but as fam, we should be able to bag on one another and still love for each other.
You may hate your mom and have good reason to, but you wouldn't want anyone else to bag on her. If they were your freinds they would want to provide comfort and support. The same with our President. Some people think he sucks, and well at times he does. If we know and acknowlege the faults of our President, we are aware of what we should have. The thing is, when we don't like something, we have the power to do someting. We can bag on our President, because we have to keep him in check. If the other countries want to say something, we have to suck it up because, we chose him.

Yes, but there's bagging on family to be funny and silly and there is serious comments that are hurtful. I agree with you the at times Bush sucks..and swallows a lot of bull. Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I agree, but there is a good way and a bad way of going about voicing your opinion.

What do you consider disrespectful? Some People think that Americans are disrespecful whenn they say things like, America is the best, America is number 1... and so on. And to me criticizing the government and poloticians is the most patriotic thing americans can do, because that is what this country was founded on. Freedom of speech, not backing down. George Bush deserves most of the attacks he gets. In fact, I was tempted to verbally attach him on this comment, but I wont.

No I mean liberals who say, "The only bush I trust is my own" and "Eat my bush" and so on. No, criticizing our government is a good thing. When we give positive feedback to our government it assists them in better serving us. When I say positive, I mean verbally or written in a non threatening way.

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism. It is the highest form of respect. Those catch phrases are fun and silly ways that we "liberals" express our rage toward what is happening in the world.

How come we only ask ourselves the really big questions when something bad happens?

George Bush has not earned my respect. And I only give respect to people who earn it. Disliking the President does not mean disliking the country.

A people cannot be conquered unless they keep their mouths closed, eyes down and minds dull.

People telling a President that they don't like what he's doing isn't tearing apart the country. It won't destroy a people when they let those in power know that we have had enough.

how can we respect America when we have leaders who don't respect the foundations upon which the country was built? I'm sure the framers of the Constitution are rolling in their graves in reaction to what's happening today.

How come we only ask ourselves the really big questions when something bad happens?

The horrific events of September 11, 2001. Bush did nothing to warrant the 9-11 attacks, except not act on the threats.

was WHAT the hell you talking about? What do you want us to do?
Become, deaf...dumb and blind to all that has come about as a result of decisions made by this president Bush. If I knew him in any other capacity such as a human/fellow being-- I wouldn't criticize him that much....BUT this is the man who took upon the job of leading this country and being the Commander In Chief

IF i think that he has not done justice to this country and it's people, then I damn well will NOT remain quiet, will NOT allow him to do anyhting without my protest (more like by not voting, signing petitions against his actions), will NOT show the rest of the world that I am stupid enough to support his policies

That's my fucking right living in this country and being a resident (soon to be citizen hopefully- my parents and siblings already are)- to exercise free speech, to assemble against the government and to petition against policies of the government...

It is the most American thing to do--- to be critical of those who have power since they represent us and are in place to make critical decisions for us
Looking past partisan politics----I stand and support those that have the good of the people everywhere in mind and are NOT money hungry/Christianity toting extremist leaders

I too am a American. In fact I am a third generation American. I am sorry that you feel offended by what I wrote. Please do not attack me. I did not attack you or your beliefs, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't be so negative. I am happy with MOST of Bush's policies. Obviously you did not lose you aunts, uncles, and cousins on your mothers side of the family. I lost 4 aunts, 3 uncles, 7 cousins, and 2 great-aunts on the United Airlines flight 175 which hit the North Tower. I lost another cousin on the 81st floor of the South Tower, Bank of America, who was trapped, with no possibility of escaping. If you want specifics, she was one of the women who jumped from the towers. Do you know what it is like to see your own cousin, who is only 8 years older than you leap to her death? I do! I am AMERICAN. I have family serving the US Army and US Marine Corp. My former boyfriend was serving in Afghanistan when Kabul fell. I know what Bush has done, he has UNITED our nation in one of its most difficult times! I hope that now you understand where I am coming from. I am not trying to persuade to think one way or another. I am just opening your eyes.

how you came to hold these views BUT I have the right to disagree-

IN my opinion Bush has not united our nation, he further polarized it--
tell me this, when Bush found out about the WTC and the airplanes and what not-- WHY didn't he calmly hand over the children's book and get to business, why he continued reading...
I am also American and I don't have to support Bush or the Iraq War to prove that--

I am not negative, it's called holding a different opinion- I did not experience tragedy like yours (tragedy that I had nothing to do with)
BUT--I have been called quite a few things and have had racial/intolerant acts done to me because of ignorant people who hate Muslims just because of the stupid cruel idiots who killed those innocent people (inlcuding your family) I am not the guilty party or the suspect, BUT why have I been treated that way, that is wrong too

By the WAY-- I would have supported Bush if he went after the actual culprits, If you know about the planes then you should know that ALMOST ALL were from Saudi Arabia and instead of asking Suadi government for anwers, BUsh went after Iraq, i supported bringing down Taliban BUT i never supported "Operation Iraqi Freedom"

EVERYONE has to deal with racial and prejudicial people who insult them... Zoroastrians, Christians, Jews, Islamics, Muslims, Hindus, and other religions. That is life. I am Jewish and had a group of Neo-Nazis at my school hold me down and cut a swastika into my thigh. No only was it painful, but humiliating to my Jewish community. In no way am I blaming you or your religion or anyone associated with you that you causes the death of my family, if only it were that easy to give blame. I really do understand where you are coming from, I really do. Being an American is a privilege, I am not saying that you are non deserving of being an American so please do not interpret it as that. Americans have certain "responsibilities" to their country: voting, supporting, and criticizing. As far as I am concerned.... you need to go into POLITICS!!! YOU'RE REALLY GOOD! May I ask you party affiliation? May Democrat?

act like that-- I am VERY MUCH AWARE that "EVERYONE has to deal with racial and prejudicial people who insult them.."

BUT I will never take any kind of hate/racism, intolerance toward me or any one person or groups of people...I will not remain quite without protesting- It's about ending this hate/uglynes and intolerance.
It's about educating yourself and breaking down all these prejudices and replacing hate filled hearts with understanding and knowledge

I want people to not be so ignorant--they are stupid acts BUT they are not something ANYONE should have to put up with, not me, you or anyone....

Your comment is making it seem like it's not a big deal and we should just deal with it
I DISAGREE (passionately) this does not have to be life, you're trying to explain and justify while I want to figure out how to end all this intolerance

Also, I did not say that you had any kind of ill will toward me but I was trying to show you that everyone's experiences make them hold different views and even similar experiences lead to different conclusions, Regardless, it's all personal freedom and choice to support one person/leader or not
