Since Darwin has proposed the theory of Evolution, evolution has been a very controversial subject. Many conservatives (especially in the south) rejected Darwin's ideas, but the evidence proving at least SOME evolution does exist.
Evolution is the theory that everything had evolved from something else. (Some say humans evolved from apes.) Most evolution is very complicated and has a lot to do with Biology, so I wont go into that. Evolution does have some compelling evidence, including the knubs that scientists believe to be what used to legs on whales. After whales became only marine mammals the use for legs became nonexistant. The theory of evolution does not, however, answer the question on HOW the earth got here in the first place.
Creationism has been the much more widely accepted theory for conservatives. Creationism is the idea that God created the earth, and everything on it. There is no scientific evidence that prove the creationist theory, except for the bible, which has been doubted by many. Although there was nothing but the Bible to prove the creationist theory, it does answer all questions, such as how the earth got here.
Since Darwin has proposed his theory of Darwinism, he has accumulated many followers but many enemies as well. Evolution appeared in the Biology books, but that chapter was usually skipped over. However in the case of John Scopes, a substitute teacher, this was not true.(although there is no evidence that says he actually did teach evolution) Scopes was accused of merely teaching evolution in school, which was agaisnt the law, but the Scopes Monkey Trial became the first national trial. Everyone was on their toes waiting for his sentance. After a while, the Scopes trial became a war God vs. Science. Living in a town of conservatives, Scopes was, of course determined guilty, but only fined $100.
Ever since the beginning of the theory of evolution it has been an extremely controversial subject. Conservatives cannot deny the hard evidence for evolution, but scientists who believe the evolution theory cannot deny that it does not answer all questions. The quest for truth has always been humans objective, and may as well be so forever.

If you do the research, their is no hard evidence for evolution.
There used to be a solid case, but no knowledge(accrued over the last 100 years) has debunked evolution
all the evidence for both arguments is iconical or anecdotal.
Religion Vs. Science and Science Vs. Religion are the debatables. God Vs. Science and Science Vs. God; however, are pointless.
That's true aswell....
Often times religion is wrong and oftentimes science is wrong.
And its not fundamentally wrong for either group of people (scientists and theologions) to admit misunderstanding.
I think I'm gonna right a blog on real science. String theory is real science because there is confirmation to those story in the math. Evolution is no longer science because there was never much math or confirmation behind it.
It was a good conjecture (made even better by the fact that it was the first of its kind) but it never should have been given the status of a theory (which is something that is widely accepted and or proven)
Actually, I suggest you don't blog about science, because you obvioulsy don't know anything about it. A THEORY is something that has never been proven wrong. i.e. the Evolution Theory.
The whale "knubs" are nothing. The reason I say that is the fact that those "knubs" are used in mating to help position & control their .. "business". Logicaly, you wouldn't need full blown legs to do that in the water, but it would be VERY risky proposition without the "knubs".
I have found, that everything that is the "knubs", or "phatom knubs" of what used to be other apendages, is really something completely unexpected.
I dunno much, but that is my two cents ;).
