Kucinich Fight Back Video:
This is the Dennis we will always remember. This is the Dennis we
love. This is the Dennis we must KEEP in the U.S. House of
Representatives. And Dennis needs your help right now, to put this spectacular new TV
spot on the air in this district in heavy rotation, to demonstrate
that he can fight back against the big corporate money trying to
unseat him . . . and he will win. There are a couple days left, and your contribution right now can
shine the light of truth on just what Dennis stands for, and blow
away all obfuscation like it was so much the smoke that it is.
Some bandy about the word "change" as if all change were good. But we
say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. And Dennis does not need to be
fixed. He has consistently been the strongest voice in all of
Congress for every progressive policy initiative. And that is why the
corporate special interests are so desperate to knock him out.
That's not going to happen.
Just so long as we do everything we could have possibly done to stand
with him and support him now, when he himself is so wrongfully under
attack. Please send the link below to absolutely everyone who cares
about saving our democracy.
I just thought I'd forward this elegant call for action. Everyone's taken the e-political quiz, right? Well, this is the candidate who best represented my issues according to the first wacky quiz I took, and by golly, I'm sticking with him. Suppose you can call me Stubborn Sam if you like.
I think if Kucinich had had the mobilized corporate militia waging war against his house of representatives seat in 2004, we might not have that voice against greed that is in Congress today. Unfortunately the Supreme Court decided that money=speech, and so his opponent will have the speech of Paul Bunyan. But this year is different. This year, I think we're beginning to see the type of rhetoric that was coming out of the 1930s and 1940s... the type that could potentially neutralize corporate influence through two main avenues: populist activism (including voting) and communication.
If you support Dennis Kucinich, here are useful actions that you can take to usher his voice back into the public arena.
1) Blog about his issues and the issues of other progressive candidates. Internet messages are becoming increasingly important. Blogging is the initial action we must take (although Ron Paul has bravely gone where no candidate has gone before with such dedication: the internet. He's shown through his unsuccessful bid for the presidency that a highly successful internet campaign does not necessarily guarantee electoral success.)
2) The next step is donation. If I can send $25 to Ohio, so can you. Put your money where your ideas are. It sickens me that news organizations do not promote democracy by providing free prime-time TV space and pay for it through their advertising. It shows an unwillingness to discuss the issues and a unique type of greed.
And so step 2 involves money--unfortunately. If Kucinich didn't need it, I'm sure he wouldn't prostitute himself out on YouTube. In any case, he is the candidate I believe he truly challenges the corporate domination of nearly every part of our lives.
