If Dreams Were For Sale...

A paper I wrote a while back for my senior scrapbook...

If dreams were for sale, I would buy one that involved something I really enjoy. Most likely I would buy a dream where I would be in a perfect paradise. A place where there would be no worries, no loud, busy cities, or obnoxious people. I'd love to be able to live on an island where I wouldn't have to worry about doing everyday things and having to put up with people complaining all the time. I love going to the beach, especially St. Simons Island. It's almost like you're in a whole different world, where everything moves a little slower and everything and everyone is laid back. I wouldn't want to be on a deserted island, but some place that had just enough people for a small community. A place where you could wake up and never have to look at the clock to see what time it was, or worry about getting home.

Another dream that would be absolutely awesome would be one in which I could travel back in time to the Renaissance era. I would definitely buy that one! I just love everything from back then. From the clothes and jewelry to the jousting, poetry and art. There's just something about that time period that I cant get enough of. I've also wanted my wedding to have a Renaissance theme to it, so Renaissance is definitely something I'm interested in. I could imagine myself walking around with a full, gorgeous gown on with my prince by my side. We would watch the jousting tournaments, feast at banquets with the king, and read poetry to each other.

I also love astronomy. Just the thought that our earth is a tiny sphere floating in a sea of stars, nebulas, planets, and who-knows-what intrigues me! I'm fascinated by space, so I think a dream about visiting outer space would be too cool. I could just imagine getting into a space craft and being launched at thousnads of miles an hour through the atmosphere. I would be in control of the ship and visit all of the different planets and anything that looked interesting.

It was just extremely creative and thought provoking and was really open minded. The ability to buy, and perhaps even sell dreams. It's a lot of positives, but there are negatives too which I'm not too sure you want to know.

I admit, it's very surreal and well, dreamlike, but your fantasy world sounds like Heaven to me.

I think that your paradise is beautiful. I would love just one second of that. It's good to desire something surreal, to have some reason to live, hoping that one day you will get what you want.
