I have seen many people blame Bush for the oil price. And like my teacher told us today, Bush can't fix the gas prices, and can't lower them. He may be president, but doesn't have that much power.
Why blame Bush, when you can blame the gas companies? Sure you can say that he can pass laws and all that, but that will take time, and approval by the branches...

Everybody wants to blame President Bush for all the bad things that happen to us. Isn't our country set up in a way that every thing gets balanced, just how you said it.
he has some power believe it or not. The gas companies pay the parties not to give any propoganda against them. That's why Bush has been so quiet, until it couldn't be ignored. I don't blame our president for gas prices, even though some say that the Republican party owns some oil somehow. I don't know what to believe. We'll have to see Bush's next move.
I believe Bush CAN step in if he thinks the oil companies are price gouging. But if he's invested money in the oil companies, why would he want to do that? haha.
You are mistake if you think Bush has any control over those crafty NAFTA guys. If he did, don't you think he would have it lowered and then bragged about it. He needs something good to his name.
Did your geography teacher, a rather robust Chris something or other, tell you about it?
